Salary £45,000-55,000 + great bonuses and benefits


Independent investment management firm with US$4bn under management. My client invests on behalf of institutional clients, in the emerging market sector.


Before application – My client’s essential criteria are:

Experience within the Investment Financial Services Sector (FCA regulated environment)
Experience of Microsoft Suite and Bloomberg


Duties:


Ability to communicate with users and analysts to understand business problems, demonstrate functionality, and communicate progress and findings to stakeholders 

·      Strong customer service skills with proven experience in collaborating with peers, leaders, employees and vendors (on-site and remote)

·      IT service and hardware vendor management 

·      Experience in front-line desktop client support and user training 

·      Policy-writing skills

·      Knowledge of cybersecurity issues 


As the IT Manager, you will own the IT management and create the building blocks to correctly manage IT risk. Understand the regulatory control frameworks for global offices and translate the IT solution into policies


Develop automation within IT and encourage the use of the latest technology to continue to remove manual processes across the firm
Working with Operations-side teams and users to help evaluate new solutions, technologies and service providers to increase automation, improve efficiency and reduce operational risk; then integrate these solutions with my clients existing workflows/infrastructure and ensuring proper documentation and review
Support: Managing IT service vendors to ensure quality and timely provision of IT support services to all staff and serving as an ultimate escalation of service issues that vendors cannot resolve
Hardware: Managing procurement and replacement of devices through equipment vendors to ensure that all staff have the necessary equipment to perform their duties efficiently 
Administration: Administration of software licenses and access rights throughout the organization 
Cybersecurity: Managing IT vendors to identify and implement hardware and software solutions to continually improve cybersecurity, as well as managing/running periodic penetration tests to ensure the effectiveness of cybersecurity 
Assurance: Maintenance and enforcement of Cybersecurity, BCP/DR, Data Protection and other relevant policies/plans and providing assurance/explanation to internal and external stakeholders on the contents of these policies/plans
