PRINT Operations Leader (Director Level)
This role will ideally be based in Offenburg. However, could alternatively be based in Munich, Stuttgart or Frankfurt.
My client is looking for a senior leader with solid experience within the printing and distribution industry.Key requirements:

- Experience working on an international basis is desirable
- Very large global corporate with offices throughout Germany and the rest of EMEA have an urgent requirement for a highly-skilled leader.
This division offers one of the largest range of print and paper. In addition, they look after communications for thousands of companies sending out Invoices, bank statements, notices.
Key areas of responsibility:
Direct and control the work and resources of the company and ensure the recruitment and retention of the required numbers and types of well-motivated, trained and developed staff to ensure that the company it achieves its mission and objectives.
Provide strategic advice and guidance to the President of EMEA and other members of the senior management team, to keep them aware of developments within the business and industry and ensure that the appropriate policies are developed to meet the company’s mission and objectives and to comply with all relevant statutory, legal and other regulations.
Lead strategy development in the areas of Production, Purchasing and Distribution to ensure that the company achieves its short and long-term objectives.
Establish and maintain effective formal and informal links with major customers, relevant government departments and agencies, local authorities, key decision-makers and other stakeholders generally, to exchange information and views and to ensure that the company is providing the appropriate range and quality of services.
Develop and maintain research and development programmes and act as the company’s main adviser on all issues relating to operational functions to ensure that the company remains at the forefront in the industry, applies the most cost-effective methods and approaches provides leading-edge products and services and develops and retains its competitive edge.
Prepare and monitor the annual budget to ensure targets are met, that revenue flows are maximised, that fixed costs are minimised.
Develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure that a safe and healthy working environment is maintained at all company sites
Maintain an effective working relationship with all other directors and senior managers to ensure that there is effective coordination of all company activities in support of company objectives
Represent the company in negotiations with customers, suppliers, government departments and other key contacts to secure for it the most effective contractual and general trading terms. • Develop and maintain Total Quality Management systems throughout the company to ensure that the best possible products and services are provided to customers.
Develop, promote and direct the implementation of equal opportunities policies in all aspects of the company’s work. • Work alongside the finance team to oversee the preparation of the annual report and accounts of the company and ensure their approval by the CEO
Develop and direct the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that the company complies with all health and safety and other legal and statutory regulations.
Take a lead role in the development and implementation of sound sustainability policies and initiatives.
