Job Title: Research Analyst (China Impact)

Location: Singapore

Salary: Negotiable

Our client, a global investment management company specialising in ESG, has a fantastic opportunity for a Research Analyst to join their office in Singapore.

You will be reporting to the Research Director in an effort to generate the highest quality of research to enable Purposeful Growth investing, focused on Impact Investing in China.


Using research to aid in evaluation of Chinese companies with a positive social or environmental impact case
Identifying and implementing relevant best practices to improve quality of insights on China Impact candidates
Conducting due diligence on universe names to arrive at recommendations via relevant documents
Conducting ESF / Impact research integrated with due diligence and monitoring of companies within specified coverage segment
Identifying key issues and conducting engagements with pre-determined outcomes
Monitoring relevant companies to identify any changes in recommendations
Ensuring regular updates to financial and valuation models and engagement tracking systems for portfolio summaries and other client reporting
Developing understanding of and monitoring of macro themes and developments within specified coverage
Ensuring various risks are managed in their area of coverage; business continuity, data security, MAR, GDPR, etc.


Between four to six years overall Research Analyst experience;
Minimum two years' experience evaluating Chinese Impact businesses from an investment perspective (public or private equity)
Fluency in Mandarin and English
Ability to come up with insightful investment recommendations
Strong understandings of financial statements, valuation methodologies and numeracy
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Interest and understanding of ESG (Environmental, Social Governance) an advantage
Willingness to learn with a reliable aptitude
